Resorts In the Poconos for Couples

If you’re looking for somewhere unique to stay, check out Paradise Stream Resort. They also have sister resorts within the Cove-Pocono Resorts family: Pocono Palace Resort or Cove Haven Resort. Each resort is a couples-only destination that is made for lovers. If you’re intent on a relaxing and going for a horseback trail ride, then Paradise Stream Resort is closest to Mountain Creek Riding Stable.

If you’re looking for something family-friendly, the Pocono Manor Resort and Spa, is a great choice. They’re only a few miles away from Mountain Creek Riding Stables. For the couples that bring their children along, Mountain Creek Riding Stable offers pony and wagon rides for kids too. Horseback trail rides can be as intimate or as family-friendly as you’d like!

Our last recommendation is for couples looking for a more secluded place to stay in the Poconos. The French Manor Inn and Spa is nestled in the woods on top of a mountain and offers beautiful views and exceptional spa services.

Best Season for a Couples Getaway to the Poconos

View of Downtown Jim Thorpe Town in Pennsylvania

The best season for your Poconos honeymoon or a romantic couples getaway is…. the season you love the most! It may sound corny, but the beautiful Pocono Mountains has all four seasons and, in general, no season where the weather is a problem consistently.

The summer is perfect for all of your favorite outdoor activities. The Fall provides some of the most beautiful leaf watching this side of Vermont. The Winter is great for skiing and some of the most tranquil horseback riding you can experience. And Spring is wonderful because, while the weather is fine, a majority of people tend to stay home and save up vacation time for Summer, so you likely won’t run into crowds that time of year.

What are the most romantic places in the Poconos?

One of the best places to visit that can be a little day trip while you’re staying in the Poconos is Jim Thorpe. This town prides itself on being tourist-friendly and has many activities and cute shops and restaurants. Check out the town’s website run by the Tourism Board for all of the details, and we guarantee you will love it!

Outside of this, much closer to Mountain Creek Riding Stable is the small town of Cresco, that’s only about 15 minutes away from the stable. Here, you’ll find antique shops and Callie’s Candy Kitchen. This place produces their own candy and pretzels! Additionally, Cresco has hidden gems for dining like Basso Italiana, a local Italian restaurant with excellent food.

These quaint and romantic Pennsylvania towns are perfect for a weekend getaway for two (or the family). Plan everything out beforehand, or just wander and relish the time together. You won’t regret a Poconos honeymoon or weekend getaway!
