Private Off-Site Wagon Rides for Events
We offer off-site horse-drawn wagon rides at local resorts within a 25-mile radius of Cresco. These private rides are reserved for resort guests and are perfect for weddings, family reunions, and other special events. What to Wear & What to Bring
- Comfortable pants and shoes (there are no shoe requirement)

- Blankets are provided, and you’re also welcome to bring your own.
- Accessibility Note: There is no strict age or weight limit. We are happy to accommodate most mobility needs — please contact us ahead of time so we can prepare accordingly.
Booking, Cancellation & Weather Policy
- Booking: Online reservations close 24 hours before the ride. For same-day availability or day-of bookings, call us at 570-839-8725.
- Cancellations:
- We prefer cancellations be done over the phone, as we cannot check our e-mail throughout the day.
- E-mail cancellations will still be honored, but your card may be charged before we get to the e-mail and we will then have to issue a refund.
- Cancellations must be made before 2 hours scheduled ride time.
- You will receive a full refund if you cancel 2 hours before your scheduled ride.
- To ensure prompt cancellation, please call us at 570-839-8725 and, if it is outside our business hours, please leave us a message.
- Weather Policy: We operate rain or shine — even in light snow! Only extreme conditions will trigger a cancellation call from us.

What is a horse-drawn wagon ride?
A horse-drawn wagon ride is a relaxing outdoor experience where guests ride in a wagon pulled by gentle, well-trained horses. At Mountain Creek Riding Stable, our wagon rides take you through scenic Pocono Mountain trails, offering a peaceful way to enjoy nature with family and friends.
Can I book my wagon ride in advance?
Wagon rides are cut off for online booking 24 hours in advance. Call us at 570-839-8725 with any day-of booking questions. On-site wagon rides can be walk-ins if we have availability, although we recommend making a reservation. Off-site wagon rides must always be booked beforehand (preferably one month in advance).
If you do not see availability online for the date and time you’d like to book, then all rides are full. We do not provide availability via e-mail.
Can we bring food or beverages on the wagon ride?
Food and drink is prohibited for on-site rides. For off-site rides, please contact us and the venue for a case by case determination.
Are horse-drawn wagon rides suitable for kids and seniors?
Yes! Wagon rides at Mountain Creek Riding Stable are accessible for all ages. They’re a great activity for families, young children, and seniors alike. No horseback riding experience is required.
How should I dress for a wagon ride in the Poconos?
Dress comfortably for the weather. We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes. During cooler months, bring a warm jacket or gloves. Blankets are provided to keep you cozy.
