Requirements/Policies
- Private Trail Rides: Riders must be 7+ years old and 50″ tall.
- Weight limit: 240 lbs (height-dependent, contact us with questions).
- Helmets: Required for all riders under 18; provided free of charge.
- Footwear: Secure, closed-toe shoes only (no sandals or flip-flops).
- Arrival: Please arrive 15–30 minutes before your scheduled ride.
- Carriage Rides: No age limits. There is one high step into the carriage. Contact us with accessibility questions.
Cancellation Policy
- We prefer cancellations to be done over the phone, as we cannot check our e-mail throughout the day.
- Please call us for cancellations: 570-839-8725 (leave a message after hours).
- Email cancellations are honored, but your card may be charged before we see them. We will issue a refund.
- Weddings: Cancel 24+ hours in advance for a full refund.
- Private trail rides: Cancel 2+ hours in advance for a full refund.

Booking in Advance
- Private Trail Rides: Online booking closes 24 hours in advance. For day-of availability, call us at 570-839-8725. If a time slot is not visible online, it is fully booked. We do not provide availability via email.
- Carriage Rides: Please book well in advance, especially for weekend or peak-season weddings. No deposit is required for most reservations. Payment is due at the time of service.
- Receipts: If you need a receipt for carriage rentals, we can keep a credit card on file when you reserve.

How far in advance should we book a private proposal ride or carriage rental?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak wedding and fall foliage seasons in the Poconos. Last-minute requests may be accommodated based on availability.
Can we customize the timing or location of a proposal ride?
Yes! We’re happy to adjust timing, help plan surprise elements, or accommodate special requests to make your proposal perfect.
Are there restrictions to where the carriage can go?
The carriage usually requires a paved or very smooth surface, because the wheels can get stuck in soft ground. If you’re not sure if your venue will work for this purpose, we can set up a meeting beforehand with you and our carriage driver so you can be sure we can meet your needs.
Can we decorate the horse drawn carriage?
Yes, you’re welcome to decorate the carriages or we can provide our standard decorations of artificial flowers. All decorations must be approved first.
Are the carriages heated?
No, the carriages are not heated. Although they have roofs, they are open-air and weather can get in if it’s raining or snowing.
Do you operate all year long?
Yes, we operate all year round for trail rides and carriage rentals. Trail rides can be done in all weather conditions, except emergency weather situations. The carriages cannot operate if there’s too much snow or ice. June through October is generally the best time to book our carriage rentals.
